What about me? I am Bart, 33, busy with computers practically all my life. Software development and computers as a whole are my passion. Literally at this moment, I count 11 computers in my home office (10 m2). So it was not really surprising I started with a study information science. Ended up with my Bachelor of ICT after a couple of years.
Since then I am building my knowledge as a software and web developer, professionally started as a PHP/MySQL developer, certified by Zend and Oracle. It was during this period that I was part of a successful Scrum team. Since then I am totally into agile software development. I practised development practices like continuous integration and delivery in different environments and on different platforms. A couple of years ago I switched to C# on the Windows platform. Learned a lot more about Scrum and software development in general. I am Certified Professional Scrum Developer (PSD I) and Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) through Scrum.org. Continuous improvement is one of the reasons I started this blog.
A lot of information can be found online. In a lot of cases, the solutions given to certain development challenges are satisfying enough to proceed. But in other cases, I needed to combine two or more sources to come to the solution of the challenge that was on my plate at that moment. Some I did a while ago, but I’m quite sure they still apply.
I would like to share those and other experiences here for future references, but also to give something back to the community.
Other than computers I am interested in music, poker and football.
